29 Feb. 2016 – After an opening 3-2 against Sri Lanka, the Lebanese men table tennis national team stumbled to 2 defeats, one against Ireland and another against Congo Brazzaville at the 2016 World Cup!
In the game against Ireland, the Lebanese players were close to winning, but finally lost with a score of 3-2. Our 2 victories were grabbed by Mohamad Hamie (3-1) and Rachid El Boubou (3-0), but the latter lost his 2nd game.
On the other hand, in the team’s next game against Congo Brazzaville, the players were unable to find any victory and lost 3-0!
Our national players take on Indonesia and Estonia next, so let us wish them all the luck!
