01 Mar. 2016 – Lebanon is hosting the 25th Asian Kids (born in 2000 to 2003) Ski Championship in Mzar, Kfardebian, on the 4th, 5th, and 6th of March! The championship is organized by the Lebanese Ski Federation and supported by the General of the Lebanese Army, Jean KAHWAJI, and supervised by the Asian Ski Federation.
Eight Asian countries are taking part in this championship: South Korea, Nepal, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, India, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and Lebanon. According to the International Ski Federation’s rules, this championship is considered an international competition, which means that countries that are not in the Asian Area can also take part in this championship. Greece will be the 9th participant!
“The federation is pursuing the preparations to make this championship a successful one thanks to the General of the Lebanese Army, Jean KAHWAJI, who us supporting this event as well as our sponsors,” said the president of the Lebanese Ski Federation Charbel SALAME.
The opening ceremony will be held on the afternoon of the 4th of March at Mzar Intercontinental Hotel. The ceremony will include a lunch in the same hotel.
The clubs that are willing to participate should send the name of their athletes with the date of birth to the Federation, before 3:00 PM on Thursday the 3rd of March.
The championship will be organized despite the hot weather we are facing these three days. It is very exciting that the Asian Championship is held in our country! We invite the ski lovers to attend the event and support our future generation of skiers!
