02 March. 2016 – The final 8 of the Lebanese futsal championship has started, with Bank of Beirut taking a first win in their series against Achrafieh today! Indeed, last year’s champions were hosting the league’s new comers today and managed to defeat them 4-1!
This win gave BoB a 1-0 lead in the series, so they just need another win to go through as it is a best of 3 series.
In that game, Mahdi Javid who recently joined BoB was no doubt their best player, scoring on his first appearance and being a consistent threat to the opponent’s defense!
Tomorrow, the competition resumes with Al Mayadeen in action against Choueifat!
