09 Mar. 2016 – Hboub Sports club organized its annual ceremony in “Horizon”, where the president of the club Rabih KHOURY pointed out the importance of being an independent club by having their own indoor volleyball court!
In Lebanon, few clubs have their own court. The majority of the clubs rent it for hours of training. It is very helpful for a club to have his own facilities, and very important to its development.
“Despite a hard time we faced during the Lebanese war, despite the danger and the problems that we went through, Sports, with the efforts of the federations and the Olympic Committee, will forever reflect the civilized image of Lebanon,” said the president of the club after thanking the attendance and the main sponsors of the club.
“Hboub club was established in the seventies and was based on several goals. Now, it is one of the remarkable clubs in Lebanon. Despite all the issues, and with the support of all our friends, we were able to achieve our goals, but our current target is to be independent and to have our own indoor court, studied by the Architect Jean KHOURY,” added Rabih KHOURY.
He finally thanked the president of the Lebanese Olympic Committee and the president of the Volleyball federation, Jean HAMMAM, and the members of the federation, the president of clubs, the municipalities, and the media for the efforts they are investing into the development of sports in Lebanon.
