19 Mar. 2016 – Gabriella DOUEIHI (LSA) flew to Cyprus to take part in an International competition where she set a new 800 record of 9:13.27! She improved her previous record by 5 seconds!
The young and talented girl didn’t just broke her category record, she also won the 800 and 400 meters races and was also ranked 1st overall the categories! She did a great performance on the 400m crossing the distance in 4:28.53!
“I am so happy with my results, the ambiance here is amazing, the people are great and the competition is very exciting,” said Gabriella.
The lack of swimming competitions is not the main reason she flew all the way to compete in Cyprus, but for the ratification of her performances for the FINA. This may help her in future qualifications.
