28 April. 2016 – The Lebanese futsal cup semi finals are upon us and there is a big chance we get to watch the two finalists of the 1st division championship competing again for silverware! Indeed, Bank of Beirut made its way to the semis after a hard fought win against the Lebanese Army team with a score of 5-4!
In that game, first half ended 3-2 in favor of Bob and then they managed to score 2 in the second half to increase the lead to 5-2, before the Army team staged a come back with 2 goals in 1 minute, falling short of 1 goal to equalize.
On the other hand, the General Security team knocked out USJ 3-2 in one of the biggest surprises, to join Aamal Bikfaya who also made its way to the semis by beating Haloussiya 7-0. It is really great to see 2 teams from the second division making it to that stage!
Finally, the Lebanese futsal championship winners, Al Mayadeen, rounded up the final 4 by overcoming Achrafieh 5-3!
