21 Jul. 2015 – The Regie beach soccer team, has won the Lebanese championship 4 times in the past 5 years, and is now entering the 6th year hungry as ever for titles.
Many of Lebanon’s top beach soccer players are currently playing with Regie, like Mohamed Chokor, Hussein Salameh, Haytham Fattal, Mohamed Halawi…
But, the team’s director Nassif Seklaoui and president Rafic Sbaity, have both stated that winning the title is not going to be easy this year, as all teams are well prepared.
Moreover, Sbaity was asked about the team’s unbelievable force, and his answer was as following: “Some might criticize the amount of talent on our squad, as well as the players salaries, but that is the way it should in order to compete for the championship. We always seek the best for our team, and as to the salaries, we are giving each player what he deserves.”
Sbaity was also asked about the development of the game and here is what he replied: “The broadcasting of games on T.V is definitely going to raise the level among players and make people more aware of it, just like the national team’s results abroad. All these factors are going to take the game to the next level, and we feel proud at being part of it.”
