05 Jun. 2016 – At the first day of the U23 Mediterranean Athletics Championship two of the four athletes representing Lebanon were competing.
Sandy KARAM broke the 10,000m Race Walking record clocking 57 minutes 5 seconds. She crossed the 5km in 27:31 ! An amazing performance by our Race walker.
Daniel BASSOUS on the other hand ran the second fastest 400m hurdles in his career clocking 56.34 seconds. Unfortunately he couldn’t make it to the final but he set a new season best.
Sandy and Daniel will hopefully improve their performances before the end of the season.
Today, Joy ABOUSLEIMAN and Krystel SANEH will compete in the Long Jump and 100m Hurdles respectively.
