31 Aug. 2015 – Naser KHALIFA AL ATIYA, the vice president of the International Federation of Motorcar (FIA), arrived to Beirut from Great Britain, on Monday, after attending the 12th round of the World Motorcycling Championship Moto GP on Silverstone circuit.
AL ATIYA will lead the second meeting for the Motorsports Clubs in the MENA world, that will take place in ATCL, Kaslik, on Wednesday, September 2, at 2:00 PM, with the presence of the Area Coordinator in the FIA, Imad LAHOUD.
He will also attend the opening ceremony of the 38th International Rally of Lebanon that is being held on Thursday, September 3, starting at 7:30 PM in ATCL.
Al ATIYA said “the Lebanese Media is doing a great effort in covering the sports in general and motorsports in particular especially the International Rally of Lebanon”. He added that the Lebanese Media was and is still capable of doing the job regarding this important event and every other event related to Lebanon, a country that is promoting and organizing Motorsports (Motorcar and Motorcycling) events, and this is noticed by the very rich yearly calendar of the ATCL that was able to attract a lot of amateurs of the sport and create a new generation of future champions.
He finally concluded by saying: “The Lebanese Media is an example to look up to in the area”.
