Charles Karam secures a place for Rio 2016 Olympics!

18 Jun. 2016 – Charles Karam just made a huge effort by becoming the first Lebanese athlete to break the 48 and 47 seconds barrier on 400 meters! He also set an amazing record on 200 meters!

The young man who went through a lot of ups and downs during his career especially after having an injury earlier this year, had his mind settled for the Olympic Games!

He dreamed of representing Lebanon and now, after running 21.09 on 200 meters, the previous record was 21.58, and 46.89 seconds on 400m, he is the best male athlete in Lebanon now, surpassing Ahmad Hazer, and securing a place for the Rio Olympics for now.

“I know after everything that happened last week and running mid 21 I could run a good time,” he said.

He will be running again tomorrow, and will take part at the individual championship that will be held in mid july!
