NRJ-music-tourupdated20 Jun. 2016– History, it is something every man wishes to engrave himself in, and last night LeBron James, and the Cleveland Cavaliers did just that. Completing a historic comeback to capture the Cleveland Cavaliers first NBA title, bringing the city of Cleveland its first major championship in 52 years, and becoming the first team to win the finals after suffering a 3-1 deficit in NBA history. All that was accomplished in one unforgettable night.

LBJ BlockLeBron’s performance last night was nothing short of spectacular, the Finals MVP lead his team to victory with a triple double to go with 2 steals, and 3 blocks. His final block coming late in the 4th quarter with the score tied 89-89 as Iguodala was going for a lay-up to take the lead, LeBron came soaring back to deny him both. Let’s not forget his sidekick Kyrie Irving, who scored 12 points of his 26 points in the 3rd quarter to bring Cleveland within one entering the 4th. Then with 53 seconds left in the game, Irving himself all but sealed the Kyrie 3PTgame with a dagger three right in Curry’s face to take a 92-89 lead. James, and Irving were not the only Cavaliers to have a good game though. J.R Smith made some key shots, and contributed on defense throughout the game, Tristan Thomson did all the dirty work as usual, and even often criticized Kevin Love had a great game. Love grabbed 14 rebounds, and played clutch defense, yes I just said Kevin Love played clutch defense, late in the 4th forcing Curry to an awful shot, and wasted possession.

DraymondThe Golden State Warriors didn’t have as much luck. Although a close game from start to finish, the Dubs just couldn’t stay consistent, or go on runs as they usually do. The Splash Brothers combined had more turnovers than three-pointers, shooting 6/24 from downtown, and together only managing 31 points. Simply said, they were a no show. Draymond Green on the other hand was the only Warrior to show up, scoring 32 points, grabbing 15 rebounds, and dishing out 9 assists. Had they won, he would have been the only player deserving of credit other than Andre Iguodala who had some good defensive plays. Back-up centers Ezeli, Varejao, and Speights were useless. The bench was terrible, and Harrison Barnes had the quietest 10 points known to man. Simply stated, Golden State choked.

Excuses though, will not be accepted, Cleveland won because they outplayed Golden State in every game after going down 3-1. Injuries are a part of the game however unpredictable they are, and suspensions come because of a players own wrong doing. The Warriors don’t get a pass, they had the NBA title in their grasps, and allowed the Cavaliers to snatch it away, winning the 2016 NBA Finals. Congrats Cleveland.
