21 Jul. 2016 – Al Riyadi academy teams participated in 2 tournaments during the training camp in the United States, and they were able to finish 3rd and 4th in those participations.
The camp was taking place in Kansas City, and the first team led by coach Nabil Hassoun finished third with Moussa Sbeity scoring 32 points form 6 three pointers in the last game.
On the other hand, the second team, coached by Marwan Diab finished in 4th place in the older category and among 12 participating teams. Hamza Biazid was Riyadi’s best player in the last game, scoring 20 points while Bassel Taki El Din added 10 points & 10 rebounds. `
The training camp will now continue until Friday July 22nd, with a new tournament awaiting both teams before they head back to Lebanon! This experience was surely one of the best for those teams who gained a lot of experience.
