27 Jul. 2016- Lebanon lost the last game of the group stage in the 2016 U18 FIBA Asia against Iran 52-76. Our national officially made it to the quarterfinals of the tournament yesterday as leader of Group B and is expecting to face Thailand or Philippines from group A.
The Iranian players dominated the first quarter, scored 22 points to create 13 points gap in only 10 minutes. The second quarter was offensively better for our national team but still didn’t manage to stop Iran from scoring. Halftime score: Iran 44-26 Lebanon.

In the 3rd quarter, our players failed to bounce back! Iran managed to add 2 points to the gap and enter the 4th quarter with an advantage of 21 points. The game ended with a final score Lebanon 54-76 Iran. This is the first loss for Lebanon in the tournament, we should learn from our mistakes and focus on the upcoming game on Friday.
