Lebanon is one win away from world cup after defeating India – 2016 FIBA U18 Asia

29 Jul. 2016- Lebanon, leader of Group B defeated India in the 2016 FIBA U18 Asia quarterfinals and is 1 win away from reaching the U19 FIBA world cup.

In the first quarter, the score was close and none of the teams could create a comfortable gap. We were able to lead the first 10 minutes of the game by 2 points with Mark Khoury, the best scorer of the team scoring 6 points. Lebanon 23-21 India.

In the 2nd quarter, our players were performing better and could dominate India especially on defense. India players scored only 9 points in 10 minutes. Lebanon scored 26 points to lead the game 49-29.

FIBA U18 Asia

The 3rd quarter was even better for our national team, India failed to score a single point in 4 minutes! Despite the great start of the quarter, Lebanon could only score 1 point more than India in this quarter but maintain a big lead of 20 points before last quarter.

In the 4th quarter, Lebanon could maintain the gap and secure the 5th win (Lebanon 98-67 India) in the tournament to face Japan tomorrow in the semifinals.
