08 Aug. 2016– Known as the ultimate triathlon race on the planet, finishing it alone is recognized as an accomplishment. TRIDUBAI’s Hassan Itani can now say he completed such a triathlon. After finishing 132nd overall with a total time of 15h:49m:40s, Itani was awarded the black t-shirt.
Finishing the race alone doesn’t get you a black t-shirt. The participant must reach the 32.5km run before the 14 hour 30 minute mark, or the 37.5km run before the 15 hour 30 minute mark. After that participant receive white t-shirts.
The event includes three parts; swimming, cycling, and running. Below are Itani’s results in each one along with the transition time between each event:
- Swim: 1h:17m:17s
- T1: 8m:30s
- Cycle: 7h:26m:36s
- T2: 6m:40s
- Run(32.5km): 3h:56m:41s
