03 Sep. 2015 – On the 4th day of competition at the Step Ahead basketball summer league, ProAm managed to grab its second win in a row following 2 defeats, while XXL won its third game in a row.
First, ProAm overcame J.A Jewellery 93-88, with the help of Elie Chamoun who scored 28 points and grabbed 8 rebounds to be named best player in the game. Karam Mechref also helped with 14 points and 6 rebounds. John Assi from J.A Jewellery was the best player on his team with 25 points, while Jad Khalil added 19 and Michael Crane 13. ProAm earned 3 points from the game winning 2 quarters and the match while J.A Jewellery got 2 points from 2 quarters.
On the other hand, XXL defeated Cisco 85-73, led by Cameron Bell’s 19 points and Tarek Ammoury’s 16 points. Ralph Akl was also impressive with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Simon Daoud was the best from the losing with 16 points, while Julian Khawaja added 10 points and 10 rebounds. According to the league‘s points system, XXL got 4 points from 3 quarters and the match, while Cisco got a single point from 1 quarter.
