12 Sep. 2016- In a match Chelsea entered as heavy favorites, the 2014 EPL champions only managed to walk away with one point. A point they came close to losing had Diego Costa not saved the day with a late goal to tie the game. With that point they are now in second place behind Manchester City.

It didn’t take long for the visitors to take control of the match. Costa put his team in the lead at the 18-minute mark. Chelsea continued to press and create chances, but entered halftime with only a one to nothing lead.

Though Chelsea remained in control, Swansea sneaked in a beautiful counter-attack. One which lead to Courtois fouling Sigurdsson in his own box, giving up a penalty. The latter went on to tbicycle-kick-costaie the game. Shortly after that, Cahil made an error of his own, allowing the hosts to take the lead. Down one goal with 30 minuted to go, the Blues got right back to work trying anything and everything to take something from what could have been a waste of a game. With a little less than ten minutes to go, Diego Costa tied the game with a mind-bottling bicycle-kick.

Surely Chelsea prefer a draw to a loss, but i doubt they went home truly satisfied. With that being said, if Costa can play like he did more often, it makes Chelsea a truly dangerous team to face. It wasn’t long ago his aggressive presence in the box was a key factor in their 2014 championship season. Chelsea remain undefeated for now, but face a tough test in Liverpool this coming Friday.
