15 Sep. 2016 – The Lebanese table tennis championship, named after president Antoine Chartier was officially concluded.
Games were taking place at Mont La Salle and in the men singles category, Rachid El Boubou managed to defeat Mohamad Hamieh in a close final game. Rachid is arguably one of the most dominant table tennis champions in Lebanon having won the title in 2003, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2016.
On the other hand, in the women’s category. Mariana Sahakian won her 7th Lebanese title by overcoming Malake Khoury in the final. Mayssa Bsaibes and Noelle Kechichian ended up both in third place.
The Lebanese Table Tennis Cup will be held from the 10th to the 15th of October 2016.
