22 Jul. 2015 – Lebanon Water Festival, is an event held during summer from July till September, in which many amateur and pro people regroup to participate in different aqua sport competitions. The LWF association, is organizing the 4th edition of the event this year, with the action bound to start on July 26 with the international jet ski race!
The race will begin between 2:00 P.M and 3:00 P.M, in the Jounieh Bay, at the Four Stars Resort! Everyone is invited to register and participate, and the track has been designed in a way that suits all competitors, so that engine differences don’t count!
Following the jet ski race, a date is going to be set between July 28 and August 7 for the surfing competition! It will take place in Jiyeh, and the official date will be released 5 days prior to the event. Then, on August 9, the largely anticipated stand up paddle contest is going to take place at Ramlet El Bayda (Grotte des Pigeons)!
Later on, on August 15 and 16, the Sailing Regatta Races are going be held, with the optimist and laser scheduled for the 15th in Batroun, while another laser race in addition to pico will take place on the 16th in ATCL.
Another tentative date then comes up, between July 16 and August 23 with the kiteboarding contest! It will be in Tripoli, at the Rabbit Island and there are going to be buses from Antelias for those who need transportation!
On August 30, the Apnea Constant Weight Contest is going to be held in Enfeh/Marina Del Sol, while the famous underwater photography competition, in which many international and Lebanese photographers participate will be on a day between September 4 and September 6.
Finally, 2 ski shows are going to take place, one in the Main Bay of Tyr on either September 12 or 13 with night and day shows, and another one in the Port Bay of Saida on either September 19 or 20.
The event sounds very exciting with all the competitions on the menu, and it is definitely going to be a delight for both the participants and the audience!
