03 Oct. 2016- Jad Fadel added a bronze medal to Lebanon’s achievements at the final day of the 5th Asian Beach Games.
Fadel, who was competing in the +90 Kg category, made it to the quarterfinals after winning his first game against Saimullah Mahdawi from Afghanistan. Despite loosing the quarterfinals to Unurjargal Boldpurev from Mongolia, Jad won his 2 repechage fights against Longand Ly Huynh from Vietnam and Behnam Abkenar Hodhodi from Iran to secure the medal.
Lebanon has ended the 5th Asian Beach Games with a total of 7 medals (1 silver medal and 6 bronze medals) ranked 29th out of 34 countries in these games.
