14 Oct. 2016 – Ray Bassil, who represented Lebanon in two consecutive Olympics and won one Gold medal and two silver in the World Cup this year, is playing her fourth and last World Cup in 2016 in Rome, Italy.
In the first round, Ray hit 23 out of 25 targets, sharing the second place with Rio Olympic Champion Catherine Skinner from Australia and a young shooter, the juniors World Cup winner Alessia Iezzi from Italy. The Rio Bronze medalist from the United States Corey Cogdell did a perfect first round with no single miss!
In the second round she missed four targets but she was able to get back on track in the third and final round of the qualifications where she only missed one clay pigeon and scored 24/25. The total score was 68/75 targets which allowed her to take 5th place in the qualification round.
