15 Oct. 2016 – As the preparations for the 2019 UAE Asia Qualifiers continue, the Lebanese Football NT has been playing a number of friendly games in order to be ready.
The team’s latest game was against Equatorial Guinea at Camille Chamoun Sports Stadium and it ended in 1-1 draw.
In the first half, both teams could not break the draw with a rather cautious approach and thus it ended 0-0. Then, at the beginning of the 2nd half, Walid Ismael got a second yellow card which left Lebanon with 10 players on court. This paved the way for Guinea to open scoring, before coach Radulovic threw Serge Said and Hassan El Mhamad in to try attack more dangerously. The move was successful as Hassan Maatouk was able to equalize a few minutes before the end.
Lebanon’s next game will be next month on November 10th, against Palestine and in Beirut.
