16 Oct. 2016 – The 8th Arab Kyokushinkai Championship took place in Beirut, Lebanon on the 15th and 16th of October 2016. And what a pride it was to see a Lebanese athlete win the title in her own country.
Kyokushinkai is a style of stand-up, full contact karate, founded in 1964. This year’s edition was the 8th of the Arab Championship and for the 3rd time, Mariana Kamara did not disappoint. She made Lebanon proud as she was able to clinch the title once again. She’s been the reigning Arab champion for the past 2 years and she has just added another title to her tally.
Congratulations to Mariana on her achievement. She undoubtedly raised the Lebanese flag very high. Best of luck for her, the journey ahead is still long.
