18 Oct. 2016- Al Ahed journey in the 2016 AFC Cup came to an end after losing today against Air Force club from Iraq. Al Ahed managed to draw 1-1 in the away game, but lost the game 2-3 here in Lebanon.
Al Ahed had the game in hand after leading on the 14th minute through a penalty scored by Nour Mansour, Air Force team tied the score 1-1 at the 28th minute of the game. Hassan Shaito gave our team the lead once again on the 35th minute and the halftime ended with a 2-1 lead for our club.
In the second half, Hassan Shaito scored an own goal on the 71st minute of the game. Unfortunately, on the 77th minute Bashar Resan scored the last goal of the game and gave his team the lead and a spot in the final.
Al Ahed made us proud, reaching the semifinals is an achievement. Hard luck to the team and for Lebanon.
