26 Oct. 2016 – Hadi Daccache (Mont La Salle) grabbed the gold medal during the U12 Lebanese Fencing Championship in Epee after defeating his teammate Elias Jalbout in the finals in 6-2.
The 2016 Arab Champion, Christian Bou Khalil (Mont La Salle), wasn’t lucky locally. He shared in third place with his teammates Joe El Khoury.
On the other hand, the Championship also included the veterans category who are the most experienced in this sport. The results of the Epee were the same as the Foil with Chafik Khoury (Lebanese Army) in first place, Khalil Bou Khalil (Mont La Salle) second and finally, Bahij Charank (Lebanese Army) and General Michel Youssef (Mont La Salle) shared the third place on the podium.
From the veterans to the youth, that’s how the Lebanese Fencing championship ended. We need the veterans to compete in order to inspire the younger generation. Congrats to the winners!
