27 Oct. 2016 – Sarkis Eskidjian, goalkeeper of the futsal team Choueifat had the privilege to be one of the 14 players to represent Armenia in two friendly games. These two games are a preparation for the upcoming European Championship (UEFA Futsal Euro).
Not only did the Lebanese-Armenian futsal player participate with the Armenian national team, he was also the man of the match in a game against Belarus. The game ended in a draw but the goalkeeper delivered an outstanding performance. One that earned him the award of best player. It is worth mentioning that the Belarusian team is not not an easy one. They have one of the best leagues compared to the other countries surrounding them. This means that playing against such a national team was not a walk in the park. However, Sarkis Eskidjian managed to be named best player.
The Armenian team will be in the same group with Latvia, Germany and Estonia in the UEFA Futsal Euro Qualifyiers.
