29 Oct. 2016- A few days ago, FIBA officially banned Sagesse from signing new players. Things just got worse for Sagesse, to add salt to the wound, the latter withdrew from Henry Chalhoub’s tournament because they couldn’t sign new imports & lost the effort of Mario Abboud who’s also banned for 4 years.
Sagesse will miss a lot, as this tournament gathers almost all of the league’s team and it is an opportunity to all clubs to test their tactics & players before the start of the season.
Moreover, the Green Castle’s participation in the Lebanese Basketball League is in jeopardy since the league’s debut is less than a month away and the team is yet to seal a deal with any foreign player.
Unfortunately, Sagesse club is facing several problems this season, they failed to build up a strong & competitive team for next season, they can’t sign foreign players and now they will be one step behind by not participating in Henry Chalhoub Basketball Tournament.
