Sebastian Coe Honored by the Lebanese Athletics Federation

14 Nov. 2016 – The Lebanese Athletics federation honored the IAAF president and Olympic Champion Sebastian Coe during a lunch organized in Diwan Beirut on Saturday, November 12.

It was an opportunity to also bring together the major actors in Lebanese Athletics as well as the Olympic Committee in Lebanon. The ceremony started with a welcome speech by the General Secretary of the Federation, and member of the Lebanese Olympic Committee Elie Saade, who presented Sebastian Coe’s athletics achievements, in and off the track, to the attendances.

Roland Saade, the president of the Lebanese Athletics Federation also weclomed Lord Coe in a speech where he pointed out the great relationship between the Lebanese Federation and the IAAF that has been built even before the election of Sebastian Coe as president of the IAAF.

Moreover, Sebastian Coe also congratulated Roland Saade for being elected as president of theLebanese Athletics Federation for the second time and promised the federation to give them all the support they can and continue the great cooperation in the future. Sebastian Coe was also happy to see Zeina Mina who competed at the Los Angeles Olympic Games in 1984.

The ceremony ended with two awards given to Lord Coe from the president of the Federation Roland Saade and the former president Mir Abdallah Chehab.
