16 Nov. 2016 – November is the Diabetes Awareness month, therefore, KMC and Hike4D teamed up to spread this awareness through sports, in particular Hiking.
The Hike will be held on a Sunday, on the 20th of November. The destination is natural reserve of Horsh Ehden in Northern Lebanon which contains a particularly diverse and beautiful remnant forest of the Cedar of Lebanon. It is a cultural and natural heritage for our country.
The hikers will meet at 7:45 AM either in Dbayeh, under the Bridge near Demergian Center, or in Ghazir, KMC hospital parking area. The departure is set on 8:15 AM. Everyone will be back to the meeting points at 7:00 PM.
The 10km hike is an L3-L4 easy to moderate level, and will take approximately 3:30 hours. It will start near Nabaa Jouit, at the lowest entrance of the natural reserve.
All donations will go to Heaven’s Joy Center (Father Majdi allow care drug addict’s center).
A lunch at Ferdows will follow the hike. Don’t forget to bring with you some light snacks that will boost your energy. Pack your backpacks with water, cap, sunglasses, sunscreen and a Jacket (Expected temperature is 15 to 10 degrees). Wear comfortable walking shoes, preferably hiking shoes.
