23 Nov. 2016 – The Lebanese Swimming Federation celebrated the Independence day with the Lebanese Army! They organized the 36th edition of the Independence Open Water at “Bain Militaire” in Jounieh.
The General of the Lebanese Army, Jean Kahwaji, supported the event. General Joseph Abboud gave the trophies to the winners while Tony Nassar, the president of the Federation, was also present at the event.
12 clubs took part in this special event: Mtayleb LSA, Al Jazira, Al Ahed, Mont La Salle, Al Najah, Achmoun, Jamhour, Safra Marine, 4B, ISF and last but not least the Lebanese Army team.
Gabriella Doueihi lifted the trophy in the women’s overall category, wheras Sasha Assi earned his spot on top of the podium in the men’s overall category.
