29 Nov.2016– On Thursday night, Louaize will host Homenetmen as Khatib makes his debut for the visitors.
The game will test the new chemistry coach Joe tried to build in the off-season. Hoho are known for their fast tempo offense. This rebound and push forward mentality will prove very challenging for Louaize’s defense, so transition is key.
In a man to man confrontation, size will shift the balance in Homenetmen’s favor as defending Fady and Dewayne, when together on the floor is practically impossible. Furthermore, Galloway has a clear advantage on Miguel going up the floor, so probably a zone defense would be better for Louaize, betting on Fady and co on having a bad shooting night.
Homenetmen’s bench will have a great role, pumping new blood in an already energetic squad. Nadim Hawi will definitely help Majok contain Lewis. Hayk is the best replacement for either Fady or Dewayne and Sevag can surely fill the shoes of Galloway keeping the fast tempo going.
Louaize’s key player would be Geron Johnson, a fast, slashing player that most of his adversaries can’t stop. If he limits his TOs he will be a pain in the neck for the full 40 minutes. Finally, Louaize’s secret weapon might be their young studs. As Champville did before them, Coach Marwan will depend on Jimmy Salem, Mansour Khoueiry, Rabih Dib and Miguel Martinez to push the team forward as their hunger and hustle will be a vital part of Louaize’s push to get up the ladder.
