08 Dec. 2016 – Beirut Select men and women’s team represented Lebanon at the Gulf Rugby Sevens Tournament in Dubai.
The women’s team were able to win the Plate tournament in Dubai Rugby Sevens after defeating Dubai Hurricanes in the Semi-final in 17-5, and Kuwait Scorpions Ladies in the finals in 15-7.
The Men’s team were able to reach the quarter final after defeating Dubai Exiles in 36-19 and Yalla Kukri in 26-19. They lost in the quarter finals against Ceylon Warriors in 17-10!
We can say that it was a good experience for our rugby teams to compete abroad and learn from this experience.
