Giovani Samaha Shines at Al Sulaymeiniyah F37 Men Futures Tennis Tournament!

16 Dec. 2016 – With two rounds played so far at the Sulaymeiniyah F37 Men Futures Tennis tournament, Giovani Samaha proved that he means business. The Lebanese player has indeed won both of his games so far during 3 weeks in Egypt.

First, he defeated 7th seed Olek Khotkov from Ukraine in what his coach Fady Youssef described as a Marathon match. With his opponent leading the first set 4-1 and the third one 4-2, Samaha rallied his forces to overcome him in both sets and win the game 2-1 (6-4 3-6 6-4).

Secondly, he tore Alessandro Ricci to pieces in his next game 2-0 (6-1 6-2) to set up a quarter final confrontation with Jordan Correia from Brazil.

He will also feature in the doubles quarter final match, partnering Milan Drinic from Serbia, to face the India duo Chandril and Lakshit Sood.
