29 Dec. 2016 – With only 1 game remaining in the third round of the Lebanese women basketball championship, the competition looks pretty exciting.
Despite the fact that Riyadi & Homenetmen are having a battle of their own for the top spot, the battle for 3rd is as exciting between Chabibeh & Antranik Beirut.
Antranik Sin El Fil & Tadamon look like the weaker teams so far, but Tadamon welcomed a new foreign player, Daphnee Frieson who will make her debut against last year’s champions. We will see what impact she’s going to have on the team!
In the third round so far, Riyadi defeated Antranik Beirut 81-59 while Chabibeh saw Hoops off in a highly entertaining game, 53-45.
Another interesting battle that should be followed closely is the one between Diana Delva & Christina Dewitt for the top scorer award. Delva, Riyadi’s foreigner came out of last game with 33 points while Dewitt, Chabibeh’s import was able to follow her 34 points performance against Riyadi with a huge 22 points 20 rebounds outing against Hoops!
The championship has to get some T.V coverage, the ladies are showing great a basketball level that deserve to be covered.
