07 Jan. 2017 – Round 16 of the Lebanese Futsal League continues with one game taking place on Saturday and two games on Sunday.
On Saturday, Bank of Beirut go up against South Sporting. The bank’s team are currently leading the table even after a slip in the previous round. In fact, they only managed a draw against Ashrafieh Youth Club (4-4). However, the gap between them and their closest opponents remains quite wide with a 6-point difference. On the other hand, South Sporting are the second from last team in the league with 9 points. Bank of Beirut had won in the first leg 6-2.
In addition to the game on Saturday, two games will be played on Sunday in Round 16 of the league.
First of all, AUST face Tripoli Fayhaa. The advantage is clear for the northern team but anything could still happen in futsal. Tripoli have to their tally 14 points against 4 shy points for AUST. The latter has been on the bottom of the league table since round 6 and Tripoli had won the game in the first leg 6-3.
Finally, Ashrafieh Youth Club face Club 1875 (USJ) in a much anticipated game. AYC are currently third and are looking to reinforce their place in the final 4. On the other hand, Clun 1875 are fifth and will fight tooth and nail to at least steal a point from their opponents. This face off ended in a 3-3 draw in the first leg.
