23 Dec. 2016 – Coach Joe Moujaes has officially been appointed as the new coach of the Lebanese basketball national team.
Coach Joe will now be replacing Coach Patrick Saba who has previously led before him the national team in their endeavors. The task ahead won’t be easy but with him as a coach, the Cedars team is undoubtedly on the right track, especially with Captain Fady El Khatib‘s return.
The name Joe Moujaes is very well known in the Lebanese basketball for a reason. With his hard work and amazing results, he built a reputation for himself as one of the best Lebanese coaches.
In fact, Coach Joe Moujaes’ track record speaks for itself. Before taking on his new experience with this national team, he coached the U18 Lebanese national team. They ended up 4th in the FIBA Asia U18 championship. These youngsters delivered an outstanding performance back then. In addition to his prowess with the U18 team, Coach Joe is proving why he is now head of the team and most importantly, why is the right man for the job. In fact, Homenetmen are leading the Lebanese Basketball League with an amazing unbeaten streak. The team has grabbed 7 wins out of a possible 7.
Needless to say that Coach Joe is the right man at the right place. Good luck for him and the national team in their upcoming events.
