10 Jan. 2017 – 2017 is going to be a year full of challenges for the Lebanese basketball national team on the international scene.
Boosted by the return of captain Fadi El Khatib and the appointment of coach Joe Moujaes, our team will be looking to make a statement that its back to compete heavily on all fronts.
First, the West Asian Basketball Tournament will be taking place from January 29th and until February 2nd, where Lebanon will look to secure a ticket to Asia.
Then, in mid July, the Cedars team will participate in the Jones cup which will help us better prepare for the FIBA Asia Cup at the end of August / start of September. This cup is very crucial as it grants qualification to the Asian Championship where teams can earn tickets to the world cup.
A lot of players have proved themselves worthy of wearing the Cedars jersey, so let’s wish the coach and players he will choose all the best!
