18 Jan. 2017 – What’s better than organizing regional championships to promote sports in our country and encourage our young athletes to practice it?
The Lebanese Table Tennis Federation came up with some great initiatives after their meeting regarding the 2017 plan.
They are planning to organize the 16th Arab Table Tennis Cup in mid August 2017 as well as the 29th Arab Clubs Championship in the last weeks of October 2017.
Moreover, the federation agreed on taking part in the Qatar Open Championship that will be held from the 21st of February till the 26th, but the participants should bear the fees of the flight and accommodation.
On the other hand, three young table tennis players born in 2005 and 2006 were selected to take part in the West Asian training camp that will be held in Bahrain from the 21st of January till the 26th of the same month. The three players are Talia Azar, Alex Boustani and Mohamad Beirouty.
The federation will also organize a training session for the Lebanese coaches during the month of June.
