Lebanese Basketball League – Hoops vs Tadamon Preview

20 Jan. 2017 – Coming off a big win against Louaize, Hoops will host Tadamon today at Michel El Murr Stadium.

Ever since Vladan joined the team, Hoops’ fortunes have changed as they lost in the final minutes with Champville before grabbing their first win of the season. The Serbian giant is averaging 20 points and 14 rebounds and he will need to be at his best once again to give his team a winning chance.

The Lebanese duo Izzat Kaissi & Ali Mezher also came off huge performances in the last game, the first going for 18 points and 5 assists while the second had 13 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Both players have been key in scoring so far this year, as the team failed to find a lethal scoring foreigner.

On the other hand, Tadamon relies on its duo Kemp-Morris in terms of scoring, as they scored alone more than half of their team’s points in the loss versus Byblos.

Jad Khalil will once again dictate the tempo in the game. He has been phenomenal this season and rightfully earned a spot on the national team. His calm attitude and all around display are a great asset to his team. In his last outing, he had 8 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists.

Moreover, coach Paul Coughter will rely on his energetic bench to exhaust Hoops’ players on defense, especially with coach Vinko using a small rotation every game.

The game today should be close. Chances are pretty equal although Hoops’ can be considered favorites with the momentum from last game and with the game being at home.
