29 Jan. 2017 – Once again, the Lebanese trap shooting champion Ray Bassil made a nation proud, by getting up on the podium of the Arab Shooting Championship in Kuwait.
Despite battling severe sickness for the past 3 days, Bassil was able to lead the qualifications and semi finals in style, but missed out on first place by just 2 clays in the final.
Nevertheless, given the conditions and the obstacles that Ray faced, she still managed to finish among the elite. Had the situation been a bit more favorable for her, there is no doubt the gold medal could have easily ended up in her hands.
It is also worth mentioning that the Lebanese men team is so far in 2nd place with 2 rounds remaining. Let’s hope they can make a final push for first place!
