31 Jan. 2017 – 12 Lebanese Skiers are off to Austria for a 10 days training camp organized by the Austrian Academy in Saint Christophe under the supervision of Hurbert Mandel.
This partnership resulted from a protocol between the two countries which only allows Lebanese clubs located in the mountains to send their skiers to Austria.
The Lebanese delegation is headed by Renee Najjar and the skiers are: Majed Akiki, Etienne Najjar, Anita Zoghby, Freddy Keyrouz, Christian Khalil, Youssef Khalil, Chamiram Salame, Antoine Salame, Serge Salame, Riyad Taouk and Charles Peter Stephan.
The president of the Lebanese Ski federation was present at the Beirut Airport to support the skiers and wish them the best of this training camp. He also insisted to take this training opportunity very seriously and to be disciplined.
