27 Jul. 2015 – The Tennis Open Championship organized by ATCL and supervised by the Lebanese Tennis Federation has come to an end. 372 tennis players took part in this championship that was held on the ATCL court in Kaslik.
Results of the 1st week of the ATCL Open Tennis Tournament
In the boys under 10 category A, Taimour AWAD won over Antoine HANI in 4-2, 4-1. While in the group B, Nadim ASMAR defeated Giorgio BIDAN in 4-2, 5-3. We should note that for this young age, the player should win only four games to win the set instead of 6.
In the boys under 12, Giorgio SAMAHA won against Fadi BIDAN in 6-2, 7-5. In the girls under 12 Maria BREIDI was able to defeat Anna Maria Hayek in 6-1, 6-1!
In the girls under 14 category, Nour DIB won against Mira EL SAYED
in a tough match that ended in three sets: 2-6, 6-1 and 10-3!
In the youth boys doubles, Tamim HALLAK and Marc BOUSTANI joined forces to defeat Kevin CHAHOUD and Michel SAADE in 6-1, 6-1!
Laura SAHYOUN didn’t appear to her final match against Gaelle BOU ABDO who won the under 18 category.
In the men’s singles, Amer NAOU won over Yaacoub MAKHZOUMI 6-4, 6-4. In the women’s singles, Nancy KARKI won over Laura SAHYOUN, who played in the under 12 category, in 6-2, 6-1.
In the men’s 45+, Marc KERSERWANI was able to defeat Moussa FAKHOURY in two sets: 6-1, 6-2. In the men’s 55+, Geogres KABALAN won over Reymond BARDAWIL in 6-1, 6-3.
Finally in the men’s doubles, Amer NAOU, who previously won the men’s singles, joined his brother Hazem NAOU to defeat Yaacoub MAKHZOUMI and Antoine BRIKA: 6-4, 6-4.
