15 Feb. 2017 – The Lebanese fencing championship. which was postponed from 2016 to 2017, took place in Emile Lahoud Sports Stadium.
First, in the men category, the Mont La Salle team “A” consisting of Ramy Baydoun, Antoine Oneissi, Frank Conterman and Imad Nahas, defeated the Lebanese Army in the foil weapon competition. Mahmoud Ali Ahmad, Chafic El Khoury, Ziad Jalbout and Bahij Charanek were representing the Army team, who fell to a 45-27 loss.
Both clubs “B” teams ended up third.
On the other hand, in the U15 fencing competition, Mont La Salle’s Carl Abou Khalil beat his brother in the final, while Mathieu Aajaka and Jason El Khoury finished third.
