16 Feb.2017 – In a much anticipated game in the Lebanese Futsal Cup, the division 2 leader went up against the division 1 runner up.
A huge match up opposed Louaize to the Army in the quarter final of the Lebanese Futsal Cup. The former created the surprise by overcoming what was considered their hardet opponent yet, with a huge score of 6-2.
An amazing performance by Elia Bechara, scoring a super hat-trick (4 goals), led his team to clinch the win in the much disputed game. Aside from Bechara’s performance, Kriss Moujabber’s efforts didn’t go unnoticed. In fact, he scored one goal and provided three assists to his teammates. Finally, Jihad Abou Chacra scored the 6th goal for the winners. Defensively, Kristan Eid and Mohammad Iskandarani played a pivotal role in leading the defense. As for the goalkeeper, he saved his team on several occasions from more than one goal. To add to the Army’s misery, their goalkeeper recieved a red card making the task harder on his team.
With one more obstacle down, Louaize are one step closer to the final. They now advance to the semi-finals where they will be facing either Ghobeiry or Amal Bekfaya.
In another quarter final game, AYC overcame Freedom Sayda by a fine line. It was a close game that ended 7-5 in favor of AYC who now advance to the second semi final
