29 Sep. 2015- Ghazir Veterans volleyball team defeated Dragstor U3 in 3-0 (21-12, 23-21, 21-19) at Antoine CHARTIER’s Cup final that was held on the Mont La Salle court.
The game between the two teams was very tough and exciting, but finally Veterans Ghazir won the first place and Dragstor U3 were second. In third place come The Storm Veterans Jal El Dib. In the women’s, St Elie Club secured the title by defeating The Storm Jal El Dib in the finals. Ghalboun Club came third in the women’s.
The games were supervised by the International Referee Hanna AL ZAYLAA, the federal referee Georges SAAB, the recorder Jessica SAKR, their supervisor the International Referee Elias TAYEH.
At the end of the games, both Jean HAMAM, the president of the Olympic Committee and the president of the Lebanese Volleyball Federation, with Jihad SALAME, president of Mont La Salle, distributed the trophies to the team and finally gave the captain of the winning team, Marwan HASRI, the Antoine CHARTIER Cup!
Ghazir Veterans team was formed by the following players:
Marwan HASRI, Elie AL NAJJAR, Michel KHOURY, Tony KHALIL, Sam SBEIH, Elias MATTAR, Chaouki RAHME, Tony MOUSSA, Eddy HASRI and the coach Issam ABOU JOUDE.
