22 Feb. 2017 – A selection of Lebanese tennis players flew to New Delhi, India to take part in the ITF Junior Davis Cup.
In the Junior Davis Cup, Lebanon’s U16 boys find themselves in Group D with Kuwait, Sri Lanka and Saudi Arabia. Lebanon are on top of this group with 3 points out of 3 games. They won all their games and took the lead of their group. They snatched a 3-0 win against both Saudi and Arabia and Sri Lanka and overcame Kuwait with a 2-1 win. They will face Jordan tomorrow in their quarter final game.
As for the U16 girls, they were in Group B with Sri Lanka, Singapore and Iraq. They ended up third in their group with a single point out of 3 games. They won one game out of three. They grabbed the win against Iraq (3-0) but lost 3-0 to Singapore and Sri Lanka. The next game for our girls will be tomorrow against the Philippines.
Please note that the boys team consists of: Jalal Sadek, Roy Tabet and Sari Navas. As for the girls team it consists of: Karla Tohme, Nour Dib and Myriam Masoud.
