26 Feb. 2017 – Afrer winning 16 out of their 20 games, Louaize have officially been crowned Division League Champions with 49 points to their tally.
In fact, in their last game in the league, Louaize easily breezed past Nakabat El Mouhamin, securing a 15-2 win. General Security, who are second in the league have 44 points with one game left to play. The numbers speak for themselves: even if General Security win their game, they can not end on top of the table so mathematically speaking Louaize are the champions. Moreover, the top three teams of the division 2 directly advance to the division 1 while the 4th team in the 2nd division will play a barrage (playoff) game against the last team in the first division.
Finally, 3 games will take place today at 5.00 PM to avoid tampering with the results. The first game will oppose Jamhour to General Security. The second one will be between Amal Bikfaya and Ahli Saida and finally Ghobeiry will face Rawdah Dekwaneh.
