With the excitement at its peak, both teams started the game with only one ultimate goal: grab the win and advance in the series. A clash of the titans to say the least, the Army and AYC both brought their A games hoping to end the game in their favor.
The first half ended with AYC going into the break with a 2-0 lead. However, the team could not rest on its laurels as they were facing a big opponent.
In the second half, the Army came from far behind equalizing the score and ending the regular time in a 2-2 draw. To kick this game up a notch, the teams went to extra time. One was just not enough to determine a winner and they had to go through another extra time where the Army emerged victorious. AYC fell just short of grabbing the win but there’s still a long way to go before the final.
