As many previous players on our list, Youssef’s love of the game started at Kahraba Club where he learned the game’s basics and started to develop his skills. Coach Sarkis Korjian was his mentor from the beginning. He was harsh and critical as he saw in Ghantous a guy that can excel and write his name in the history books.

Growing up, Youssef had a style of his own. This unorthodox way to approach the game made him the go-to guy in his team since his younger days. Starting to play at age 5, he always looked up to the Answer, Allen Iverson. Trying to emulate him, Ghantous wanted to be the best on the floor. One Hall of Famer that you can learn a lot from.

Coach Ghassan Sarkis had a close eye on Youssef as he wanted him to join the wolfpack. The chance of playing for Champville under coach Ghassan was a chance not to miss. Destination Dik El Mehdi. A young man in a locker room that had veterans and foreigners of the highest caliber, Youssef was not to be manhandled. For a PG, Youssef has a bit of an advantage on his counterparts. Standing at 1.95m, he can practically defend any player. He proved to be one of the best emerging talents in Lebanon and has earned some valuable minutes on the court with Champville. His quick hands help him both on defense to steal any ball and intercept passes, and on offense to quickly pass by any defender. His long arms allow him to protect the ball while slashing to the basket and to absorb the contact with the and-one. His shooting abilities are not to be underestimated as he can take any shot if he sees space to.
