16 Oct. 2015 – The friendly futsal game between Lebanon and Cyprus ended in a 3-3 draw, despite the Lebanese team no doubt deserving the win. But, a questionable performance from the referee who failed to book any player in the game, especially the Cyprus players who were very aggressive in their challenges has made it hard on our national team to get away with a win.
In the first half, Lebanon shot more than 10 shots on target without scoring, while Cyprus scored 2 goals from just 2 opportunities that came from defensive mistakes.
Nevertheless, the Lebanese team made a huge back and managed to grab the 3-2 lead in the second half with Karim Abou Zeid (2) and Hassan Zaitoun scoring but the referee gave Cyprus a penalty 8 seconds from the end which allowed them to score and finish the game with a draw.
